DECLUTTER

Here are some suggestions, along with how they can help jumpstart the new year:
#1 Organizing
Decluttering a space: Focus on one small area, like a drawer or desk, to avoid feeling overwhelmed causing more anxiousness. (Pantry is a bit later, it’s a bigger task than you think) Something about organization in the rainbow colors (roygbiv) feeds my soul, and it looks amazing and makes me want to keep it that way.
Color-coordinating or labeling items: This repetitive and calming task can help clear your mind.
Rearranging furniture or decorations: Creating a fresh look in your space can give you a feeling of control and renewal.
LAUNDRY

#2 Cleaning
Folding clothes, sorting colors, and loading the washing machine are tactile and repetitive tasks. These activities can ground you in the present moment, reducing racing thoughts. Believe it or not, cleaning and/or tidying up is really soothing and beneficial for your mental and visual.
Sweeping or vacuuming: Physical tasks provide an outlet for nervous energy.
Washing dishes or laundry: The repetitive motions and warm water can be grounding. (Folding towels and shirts is good for this)
Organizing a cleaning schedule: Checking tasks off your list brings a sense of control and accomplishment. (Ie, Mon: Floors, Tues: Bathrooms)
DIY: Shirt Folder
