ANXIETY
F*ck Anxiety! Let me tell you why. This whole “Twins” shit is a bit much guys, we getting carried away wit’ twin ‘nem. You ever been minding your own self’s overpriced-ass, organic, Whole Foods business on a random Tuesday, and some stranger hits you with, “Omg, you look exactly like my cousin from Blah, Blah fucking Blahville, y’all are twins”. Right. Like ma’am, I barely look like my license photo. But the whole time, I’m out chere twinning in Whole Foods with her cousin.
You know we prolly don’t resemble, we both Black, and “we all look alike” to them right? Mad fools are locked up from mistaken identity. Just think, there is somebody on the other side of the world with your face. It’s f*cked up, but true. But is it a real thing?
INVISIBLE TRIBES
So check me out, in my imagination “what-if” we all look alike because we are all part of about 7 “invisible tribes” with dope-ass descriptive names like “The Long Neck Tribe”, “The Big Cheeks Tribe” “The Strong Jawline Tribe”, “The Big Eyes Tribe” as basics and then it’s tweaked from there kinda like the calibration in your car speakers and you can add more bass, more treble but on the face.
Don’t forget “The Tall Heads Tribe” and the “Long-Ass Chin Tribe”. Stop laughing. It’s that “Big-Ass Forehead Tribe” for me. You ever seen somebody and been like they cute, but they forehead is f*cking me up. Whatever Tribe you from, Love yours.
You can think of somebody you know or you saw somebody right damn now that looks like they from one of those invisible “what-if” tribes. Fellas, y’all be out chere twinning too. But what makes people look alike, is it the face shape, the shape of the eyes, the nose, what makes us look alike? Let’s see how it works.
THE BLUEPRINT
The Blueprint = The Template
To answer the question above, yes — we all carry a version of the "face template," but like fingerprints, no two are truly identical each of our faces is a unique version of a shared human blueprint. Humans share a basic facial structure — eyes, nose, mouth, ears — arranged in a general pattern. This is our biological blueprint, shaped by millions of years of evolution for easy recognition, communication, and survival.
YOUR FACE
Your Face = A Custom Edition
While the structure is similar, your specific features (eye shape, lip fullness, cheekbone height, skin tone, etc.) are customized by genetics (from parents and ancestors), environment (e.g., sun exposure, nutrition), and developmental factors (like hormone levels). This is why you look "human" to everyone — but also unmistakably you.
RECOGNITION
Brain’s Facial Recognition
Your brain is a face-detecting machine. It recognizes patterns based on that shared template. This is why we see faces in clouds or toast (pareidolia), instantly spot a familiar face in a crowd, and sometimes think strangers "look like someone" — because they align with our internal face database
ANCIENT EGYPT
Ancient Egyptians absolutely had a visual template based on divine symmetry and cosmic order. So if someone says you’ve got that “ancient face,” they might be on to something.
