Rookie sensation Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky headlines the WNBA All-Star team where she will be teamed up with Caitlyn Clark of the Indiana Fever. ESPN reports that the two athletes have been named to the 12-player roster of Team WNBA, and they are set to go head-to-head with Team USA, aka the U.S. women’s national team. The exhibition will work as the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday July 20, in Phoenix,Az.

The Chi-Town Barbie had an emotional reaction to the WNBA All-Star news. As she conducted her post-game presser after beating the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night, Angel fought back tears, trying to work through her gratitude. She stated :

I’m just so happy. I know how much work I put in. Coming into this league, so many people doubted me and didn’t think my game would translate and I wouldn’t be the player that I was in college or better or would be worse and wouldn’t be where I am right now,” she recalled. “But I trusted the process and I believed and I’m thankful that I dropped to [pick No. 7] and was able to come to Chicago. It’s just a blessing. I can’t thank my teammates and my coaches enough for just believing in me.and trusting me. I know all of them are going to come to Phoenix and support me. So I’m really happy right now.”


The 2024 WNBA season just began and she is already making history and breaking records.

Angel Reese causes social media explosion after making WNBA history

The absolutely gorgeous Angel Reese is going viral after she made WNBA history during the showdown between the Chicago Sky and Las Vegas Aces Thursday.

Reese extended her impressive double-double streak by putting up 18 points and 11 rebounds. That’s now the ninth straight game that the Chicago rookie has put up such numbers, making her the youngest player ever to do it.

For those not in the know, Reese already holds the rookie for the longest double-double streak after surpassing the previous record of six set by Tina Charles (2010) and Cindy Brown (1998).

Now, she just keeps making milestones.

Sure enough, fans were quick to heap praise on Angel Reese as her name exploded on social media. Many even went as far as to saying that she’s the Rookie Of The Year.

One fan said, “A legend in the history books of WNBA.”

“Looking at straight basketball, you can’t tell me she ain’t the ROTY?! She’s HOOPING,” a fourth fan declared. A social media user agreed, “INDISPUTABLE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR.”

Another Sky faithful exclaimed, “Y’all can try to discredit her all you want because you personally don’t like her, but that girl gone be a problem for years to come. She can hold her own against the best of ‘em.”

Indeed, it was a performance to remember for Reese.

Angel Reese is the ROTY, (Rookie Of The Year) she is only 22 years old and is getting better everyday so teams and fans should be a little afraid. She worked so hard and made so many sacrifices to reach the top. She has changed the game and brought in so many new fans and spectators. She has NIL endorsements of over $1.3 million and rising and a whopping 2 million new followers on social media since the draft. Angel Reese is the face and the future of the WNBA and is a force to be reckoned with, and we are proud of you, we salute you and when haters try to tell her no…… here’s what we think
