Up late again? Are you restless? Do you need to go the fuck to sleep? Try these tips below to cure insomnia.

*The bare minimum amount of sleep needed to live, not just thrive, is 4 hours per 24-hour period.

Sleep deficiency can interfere with work, school, driving and social functioning. You might have trouble learning, focusing and reacting. Also you might find it hard to judge other people’s emotions and reactions.

Things that could also happen :

  • make you feel frustrate, cranky and/or make you feel worry which causes anxiety in social situations.

  • can increase the amount of cortisol in your body, which can break down collagen and lead to more wrinkles.

  • disrupt your circadian rhythm, which is your body’s internal clock that regulates many physiological processes.

    Action : Try to power down and disconnect earlier to prepare for bedtime.

 1cupraw walnuts

 4cupsfiltered water1 litre

 4medjool dates, soaked in hot water for 5 minutes then pitted

 ¾tspground cinnamon

 1tspvanilla extract

 ¼tspsea salt

 3tspwhole culinary lavender flower buds)

Soak the walnuts in water for at least 6 hours or overnight. Drain the water and then rinse. Place the walnuts, filtered water, sea salt, vanilla, cinnamon and soaked dates in a high powered blender and blend on high for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.

Strain the milk through a nut milk bag over a wide mouthed container. Gently knead and push the milk through the nut milk bag into your container. Add the lavender to the strained nut milk; shake.

Store the nut milk in glass jars and allow the lavender to infuse for at least 8 hours or overnight. Strain out the lavender and enjoy before bed or anytime of the day. There will be some separation so be sure to shake well before drinking.
