Finding Compassion & Knowledge That Help Anxiety Triggers

BACK-TO-SCHOOL

Happy Friday! Summer is over, and it’s back-to-school time. Is your house giving “everybody lives here but nobody cleans”? Still finding crazy shit from the kids and their friends in the couch? I know you fcking lying 😂Before you lose your mind, try a quick home reset that clears the chaos and brings your peace back. Late summer and back-to-school season can create a real energy shift, especially for parents and busy households. This is life-changing, and kid-friendly.

THE STRUGGLE IS REAL

Parents, don’t have another struggle school year, it’s bad for your kids. A back-to-school home reset can mean less clutter, fewer rushed mornings, and less anxiety. This is the best part, the work. Reorganize schedules, create a command center, refresh your space, protect quiet time, improve sleep, and decide how you want the rest of your year to feel.

WHAT IS A RESET?

A reset means intentionally clearing what no longer works, reorganizing your space and routines, and making small changes that create fresh energy, clarity, and peace. Woo-sah.

HOME RESET GUIDE

A home reset doesn’t need to become an all-day cleaning project. Follow these 5 simple steps:

  1. Remove — Grab a basket or trash bag. Pick up trash, dishes, clothes, papers, and obvious clutter.

  2. Return — Put the things you use regularly back where they belong. Don’t start reorganizing every drawer.

  3. Clean — Wipe counters, sweep or vacuum high-traffic areas, make beds, and clean the kitchen sink.

  4. Refresh — Open the blinds, change the air, straighten pillows, add a pleasant scent, and put on music.

  5. Reset yourself — Shower, change into comfortable clothes, make something to drink, sit down, and enjoy your space.

The goal of a reset isn’t perfection, it’s getting your home and mind back to a place where life feels manageable again.

LAZY HOME RESET

Hey lazy-ass, there’s one for you too. Do a “lazy reset.” You’re not deep-cleaning, you’re making the house feel better quickly.

  1. Grab one basket — 10 minutes. Walk through the main rooms and toss anything that doesn’t belong into it. Don’t organize yet; just remove visual clutter.

  2. Reset the three things you see most — 10 minutes. Clear the kitchen counter, straighten the couch/living room, and make your bed. Those three changes can make the whole house feel more put together.

  3. Finish with atmosphere — 5 minutes. Open the blinds, take out the trash, wipe one surface, put on music, and use a candle or pleasant scent if you like.

25 minutes. Done. Leave the basket for another day if necessary. 😂

The rule: Don’t clean the whole house. Clean what makes the house look and feel reset.
