Halloween’s on Friday this year, and yeah it’s gonna be scary as fck out there and I’m bag snatching too. I owe these kids from last year, trampling my damn shrubs. Crowds, costumes, chaos, anxiety’s already lurking like it’s Friday The 13th, and (anxiety) is Jason Voorhies ready to stab you the fck up with all the “what-ifs.” But relax, this isn’t a movie, and you’re in control. Let me tell you what to do.

HALLOWEEN TIP

Here’s what you do for an anxiety-free Halloween: Start now. Make your menu, plan your movie marathon, stock up on your drinks and mixes, and grab your coziest pajamas or sweatsuit. For the trick-or-treat crew, head out around sunset, spooky but still safe, go early get the good candy and the big bars.

THE RULES

Before you go, remind your kids of the rules: Lights off = No candy, Lights on = Fair game. Do not forget to say trick ”Trick-or-Treat” and thank you, and never step inside anyone’s house. And listen, don’t stress about candy. If you fcking run out, they fresh out of fcking luck, oh well. The kids will survive. Fck that, ain’t no EBT for the candy aisle anyways. Do what you can, give what you got, and keep your peace and keep it moving.

HOW-TO BE STRESS-FREE

You don’t have to stress or have anxiety about anything on Halloween okay. Do these things to combat the anxiety of Halloween: 1) Light a candle 2) Pour a drink 3) Breathe and 4) Make something fun, like Graveyard Brownies, (Tollhouse cookie dough, Oreos, and Brownie) mummy dogs, caramel apple nachos. Let the house smell good and cozy. The only thing getting slashed this Halloween is fcking stress and anxiety, not your sanity.
