You don’t have to believe in chakras for the solution to work. What people call “blocked energy” often overlaps with:

  • Nervous system dysregulation

  • Chronic stress

  • Lack of novelty

  • Emotional suppression

REPEATING BEHAVIOR

When someone feels flat, stuck, low-umph, and/or disconnected, different systems try to explain that feeling. Psychology calls it burnout or mild depression. Spiritual traditions might call it energy imbalance. All of this can cause anxiety, and often does. Here’s how it connects, clearly and simply. Repeated effort without reward = anxiety. Your brain starts anticipating failure. Each new attempt triggers fear, tension, and self-doubt because it expects disappointment.

ROOT CHAKRA (SAFETY + STABILITY)

If you look at it through a chakra lens, here’s how it’s often interpreted: Chronic overwhelm or burnout = anxiety. When your nervous system is overloaded for too long, it stays stuck in fight-or-flight. Anxiety becomes the background noise of survival mode. Root Chakra (Safety + Stability) when this feels “off,” people report:

  • Anxiety about money or security

  • Feeling ungrounded

  • Constant survival mode

What helps:

  • Immediately change your thoughts

  • Say words to enforce happy thoughts

  • Physical movement

  • Time outside

  • Cleaning/ organizing your space

  • Financial clarity (even basic budgeting)

Grounded body = steadier mind.

SACRAL CHAKRA (JOY + CREATIVITY)

Loss of belief in yourself = anxiety. When effort feels tied to shame or identity (“What if I fail again?”), the brain treats action as a threat. Anxiety shows up to stop you from trying. This is the big “no umph” zone.

When it’s low:

  • Nothing feels exciting

  • Low motivation

  • Creative block

  • Emotional numbness

What helps:

  • Try something new

  • Creative play (music, art, cooking)

  • Social connection

  • Sensory experiences (water, warmth, movement)

This center is about pleasure and flow.

SOLAR PLEXUS (POWER + CONFIDENCE)

Anxiety isn’t the cause, it’s the signal. It’s your nervous system saying, “Trying doesn’t feel safe anymore.” And that means the answer isn’t pushing harder, it’s restoring safety, confidence, and small wins so your system learns it’s okay to try again. You’re not broken. Your system is protecting you from fckery, and damn near yourself. Solar plexus, when this feels imbalanced:

  • Self-doubt

  • Feeling stuck

  • Low drive

  • Comparing yourself constantly

What helps:

  • Setting small goals and completing them

  • Strength training

  • Saying “no” when you mean it

  • Doing one thing that builds competence

Confidence grows through action, not affirmations.
