BREATHE IT OUT
Happy Friday. Happy Birthday Judicia! Woosah. Spark up that Palo Santo, you need it. Your toe is up to the line? Feeling more anxious lately? Between this economy and these gas prices, if you didn't have anxiety before, you definitely have it now. You are not dramatic. You are not weak. Anxiety is at an all time high in 2026 and your body knew it first. FCKTHAT. Your triggers are real. Let's talk about it.
WHAT IS A TRIGGER?
Trigger- A trigger is anything that activates your anxiety without warning. (Basically anything that sets you the fck off) Example of a trigger: you’ve been waiting all day on somebody to go somewhere and you’re still late, simple shit like trying to open a produce bag (Punching the air)
MOST COMMON TRIGGERS
Most people don't even know what their triggers are, they just know they suddenly feel fcked up and don't know why. It can be anything. Identifying your triggers is the first and most powerful step toward managing anxiety.
Everyday Triggers : 1. Unanswered texts or calls 2. Crowded public spaces 3. Unexpected changes in plans 4. Being put on the spot 5. Silence in a conversation 6. Running late
STOP ANXIETY ATTACKS
Here’s what to do: Box Breathing one of many controls your heart rate, and regulates your oxygen intake so you don’t freak the fck out.
How to do it: 1. Inhale for 4 counts 2. Hold for 4 counts 3. Exhale for 4 counts 4. Hold for 4 counts 5. Repeat 4 times
THE STATS
Only 1 in 4 people with anxiety receive any treatment. That means 75% of anxiety sufferers are white knuckling it completely alone, no tools, no community, no support. Just suffering quietly and saying "I'm fine" when they are absolutely not fine. Anxiety prevalence increased significantly across all racial groups from 2019 to 2023, with the largest increases reported in Black individuals. That gap is exactly why FCKTHAT exists.

WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND?
Before you go, I have one favor. Hit “Reply” and answer this week’s question:
What’s your biggest anxiety trigger this week? It can be something big, something small, or something that’s been weighing on your mind. I read every reply, and hearing your stories reminds me why this community exists. You never know, your response might encourage someone else in a future edition (only with your permission). Let’s keep this conversation going. Email help@fckthat.com I want to hear from you.
